Three Adventuring Parties from "Year One"

An Adventurer Party is a group of Adventurers, usually a team of five or six, that come together to preform Quests for organizations like the Adventurer's Guild, Rogues Guild, and the Royal Court.

Party Formation[]

A Party is a complicated setup, it's not just as simple as a group of Adventurers coming together to fight Monsters. The common setup of Parties involve "Front-Rows", 'Middle-Rows", and "Back-Rows" for the Party's formation in battle and healing, which is a delicate matter for class placement.

PartyFormation

How Party Front-Row and Back-Rows work

The "Front-Row" or "Vanguard" is where Warriors, such as Party Tanks and Fighters, and Scouts are placed; as the Scouts are to "scout" ahead and get the Party their bearings alongside the Warriors who defend the Party. If the Scout doubles as a Ranged-unit they'll usually retreat to the Back-Row, or a Middle-Row, to provide cover for the Front-Row.

The Back-Row is where the Party's spellcasters, like Wizards and Priests, are placed so they have cover to utilize their spells as needed. Priest-types usually remain in the Back-Row to provide healing as well as item and potion management in case someone on the Front-Row needs to swap out.

There are other minor jobs and Adventuring Party needs like a Party Accountant for managing the Party's funds and supplies; as well as Party Chefs who keep the party fed and healthy on long excursions.

Known Parties[]

Active Parties[]

Goblin Slayer's Party
LN Vol 02-01

Goblin Slayer's Party

A specialized team formed together on a special assignment to show racial cooperation in the Western Kingdom; the Party worked so well together, they decided to stick together and continue questing. The Party handles the much ignored Goblin problem for the Adventurer's Guild as well as commissions from the Royal Court. Despite being of a lower rank, Priestess sometimes functions as the Party's leader due to the veterans mentoring her Adventuring career.

Dwarf Shaman doubles as the Party's chef when they are out in the field and Lizard Priest as the Party's Cartographer.

Spearman's Party
Spear&Witch

A Date or a Quest?

  • Leader(s): Spearman (Warrior/Wizard), Witch (Wizard)
  • Rank: Silver

A Party that is small, but makes up for it with skill and power by multi-classing, with the "Frontier's Strongest" Adventurer, Spearman, being an accomplished Warrior and resourceful Wizard as well as the Frontier's most powerful, and beautiful, Wizard, Witch.

Despite being considered one of the most powerful Party's, the Party's dynamics are currently a mystery. One the side, Witch functions as an Appraiser and Magical Artisan; lending her expertise out to other Party's as well.

Heavy Warrior's Party

A party specializing as heavy hitters with three warriors, the party has had extra hurdles for promotion due to having two under-aged Adventurers in the Party but have succeeded regardless. The Party made a name for itself early on in the hunt against the Rock Eater. Half-Elf Light Warrior also functions as the Party's accountant.

Club Fighter's Party
RookieDuo

The Rookie Duo, minus Harefolk Hunter

A party formed by childhood friends Rookie Warrior and Apprentice Cleric, and later recruited Harefolk Hunter, are a Party that takes the advice of veterans and Guild associates very seriously and thus live by a "Slow, Steady, and Safe" questing style. Despite the slow start, the trio have began to make a name for themselves. After a near disastrous run-in with a Wyvern, the party agreed to start taking other jobs aside from Monster Slaying Quests for awhile, which they felt would be safer and more cost effective.

In Episode 01 of the anime, the two were accompanied by another girl; blonde with twin tails and a white cloak (who was seen in chapter 01 of the manga but with another team). It's unknown if she was a friend, a former Party member, or someone they had to escort as she's never seen or mentioned again; even her face was never revealed.

Hero's Party
HeroPartyVer2

Hero's Party of badasses

An all female ridiculously powerful Party led by the all powerful Hero and her equally powerful associates. The Party is the "Go To" group of Adventurers for the Royal Court for handling world-ending threats. Their triumphs include slaying Demon Lords, Demon Hordes, Asteroids plummeting towards Earth, Undead Kings, etc.

Axe Warrior's Party
RaggedParty

Axe Warrior's Party in Volume 2

A Party that was formed back in Year One, unlike their peers however, they were met with hard times and rotten luck which has caused the party dynamic to fall into arguing with each other. The bad luck was later discovered to be the result of Rhea Scout siphoning funds and keeping rewards for himself by the Guild staff, which resulted in his expulsion. Since then, the Party has met more success, but much of their in-fighting hasn't quite ended yet.

Young Warrior's Second Party
MisfitParty

The Misfit Part

Young Warrior's second Party, a misfit party formed together by Professor, the Party met with decent success and even joined forces with Gold-Ranked Adventurer Barbarian on one mission. Professor also takes time in between Quests to teach his party members fundamentals like reading and writing. According to Inspector, the Party seem to specialize in exploring and mapping older ruins for academic research.

Wizard Boy's Party
WizBoy&RheaFighter

A rough start

An rookie Party formed by Wizard Boy and Rhea Fighter who decided to follow him on his quests. Despite their promising start, the duo is usually hired to help give minor aid for higher ranked Parties, including Hero's Party and the team up between Heavy Warrior, Goblin Slayer, and Spearman. After training with Burglar, Rhea Fighter decides to try her hand at jousting; adding a donkey to their Party as a beat of burden.

Spy's Party

A Rogue Party in the employ of the Rogues Guild that handle the "dirty work" of the world. Despite not being ranked due to being in the Rogues Guild, the team is extremely effective and even the "Go To" team of assassins for Silver-Haired Maid, the Spy Master of the Royal Court.

Temporary Parties[]

Heavy Warrior's Specialized Party
LN Vol 04-03

A trio of Badasses

A Party Alliance formed by three veteran Silver-Ranked Party Leaders, the Party has been called upon by the Royal Court at least twice to handle a Magic Tower[1] and to retake a destroyed city from the Forces of Chaos. The Party is exceptionally powerful and highly effective, being able to take out a Chaos Marine and a Big Eye Monster with relative ease.

Priestess's Rookie Team up Party
PriestessParty

Priestess's Party of Rookies

A party formed by Porcelain Rookies under the leadership of rising star, Priestess, during the training ground incident. Priestess had gather her fellow rookie friends together to take them on a short adventure while they were training. During the Goblin Assault, Goblin Slayer placed Rookie Warrior in charge of the group until he deferred back to Priestess when she arrived to lead them to save the other trainees. Even though Wizard Boy and Rhea Fighter left the frontier, Priestess still forms this party with other rookies from time to time.

Goblin Slayer + Rookie Duo Team Up

After having finally accrued enough experience points for a promotion, Apprentice Cleric received a handout from the Supreme God and was tasked with saving the Harefolk Village and ending the Unending Winter. Knowing they were horribly under-equipped, the pair asked Priestess for help who recruited the Goblin Slayer Party sans Goblin Slayer to help. The team up was successful and the Rookie Duo gained Harefolk Hunter as their first new party member.

Castle Defense Party
GirlsTeam

One Epic Girl's Day Out

An all female Party Alliance formed by three veteran Silver-Ranked Adventurers and a newly promoted Sapphire-Ranked Priest, the Party was formed after Female Knight was jealous that she was left behind by her boyfriend/Party Leader and the rest of her Party who went on separate quests. Gathering other female adventurer's who were "left behind" and went to defend a castle under siege from the Forces of Chaos; the Party met great success.

Disbanded Parties[]

Samurai Captain's Party aka The "All-Stars"

A ragtag Party that defeated the Demon Lord ten years before the start of the series in the Dungeon of the Dead. Despite everything going against them and not being particularly favored to save the world by the Gods, the Party succeeded where no one else did. Myrimidon Monk also functioned as the Party cartographer, making a decent living selling maps of the Dungeon of the Dead to other Adventurers.

Female Bishop would go on to become the Sword Maiden and Myrimidon Monk returned to the Desert Kingdom and became a captain amongst his people. The status of the rest of the Party is currently unknown.

Knight of Diamonds Party
Knight of Diamonds' Wounded Party

  • Members: Silver-Haired Thief (Scout, Retired), A Red-Haired Priest (Priest, Retired), A Dark-Skinned Wizard (Wizard, Retired), A Guardsman (Warrior, Retired), A Padfoot Warrior (Warrior, Retired), Old Wizard (Wizard, Retired).

An extremely successful party that challenged the Dungeon of the Dead to great success that eventually retired and took up positions in the Royal Court.

Warrior's Party
Anime Episode 1 Before their demise

Warrior's Party

A Party of rookies on their first hunt; they were horribly ill-equip and didn't listen to advice for a Goblin Slayer Quest and were met with a near total party wipe. The hunt ended with Warrior killed and Wizard fatally poisoned which led to her asking to be mercy-killed. Even survivors like Fighter, who was overpower and raped by Goblins and Priestess who was saved from any assault by Goblin Slayer, were both left very traumatized. Fighter would quit being an Adventurer, while Priestess would go on to form Goblin Slayer's Party with Goblin Slayer.

Sword Maiden's First Party
FallenPartyManga

Magic Knight, Priest, and one other from Female Bishop's first Party

  • Leader(s): Magic Knight (Warrior, Deceased), Black Hat Wizard (Wizard)
  • Members: Black-Haired Warrior (Paladin, Deceased), Priest (Priest, Deceased), Sand Bandit (Scout/Rouge, Deceased)
  • Former Members: Female Bishop (Priest, Abandoned)
  • Temporary Members: 2 Ninja (Rogues, Deceased)
  • Rank: Unknown

The first Party Sword Maiden, then called "Female Bishop", joined as a rookie; her tenure ended with them when they abandoned her to be raped by Goblins and left her in town to fend for herself. They fell under the tutelage of the "Black Hat Wizard" who promised them an easy way to level grind by killing fellow Adventurers, so they abandoned the traumatized Female Bishop to keep her safe and innocent of their crimes until they came back for her. Their Party set-up, however, was noted to being ill-suited in dungeon delving; making Black hat Wizard the clear back bone of the Party with his introduction.

Priest functioned as the Party's cartographer as well, being in the same league as Myrmidon Monk.

After Samurai Captain's Party had defeated them when they tried to reclaim Female Bishop by force, the parties made amends, but Black Hat Wizard harvested their souls, killing the entire Party.

Noble Knight's Party
Would-be-rescuers

Noble Knight's Party

  • Leader(s): Noble Knight (Warrior, Deceased)
  • Members: Rhea Ranger (Scout, Deceased), Human Monk (Priest, Deceased), Elf Wizard (Wizard, Deceased)
  • Rank: Steel

Failed Heroine's Party
FailedHeroParty

  • Members: Four Girls (Various, Deceased)

Sadly, Illusion messed up a critical roll for Failed Heroine, causing the total Party wipe much to her sadness.

Noble Fencer's Party
Noble Fencer party

An up and coming Party once called the "Noble Retinue" for their leader the Noble Fencer, which met with early success. During a Goblin Slaying Quest however, the Party not only failed to do research on the supposed cave, they had the awful luck of hunting the Goblin Paladin who was far more intelligent than the average Goblin. Outsmarted and out-maneuvered, the party was killed off in the night with Noble Fencer and Half-Elf Fighter being taken hostage to be victimized.

Eventually, Noble Fencer was rescued by Goblin Slayer's Party, but Half-Elf Fighter had died from torture by the time the Party rescued Noble Fencer.

Young Warrior's First Party
YoungWarriorParty1

  • Rank: Porcelain

The Party had temporarily joined forces with a rookie Goblin Slayer during one of his Goblin Slaying Quests, but were very put off by his rather extreme methods. Later, the Party had accidentally discovered a mature Rock Eater's liar, who ate Half-Elf Ranger whole and Dwarf Warrior's arm.

The Party was disbanded with this terrible encounter, as Monk didn't return after taking Dwarf Warrior home and thus Young Warrior was recruited by the Professor's Party.

Acolyte's Party
Doomed Party

Acolyte's Party

  • Leader(s): General (Wizard, Deceased)
  • Members: Lizard Warrior (Warrior, Deceased), Thief (Scout, Deceased), Warrior-Priest (Warrior/Priest, Deceased), Acolyte (Priest, Retired)
  • Rank: Obsidian

An up-and-coming party of Porcelain and Obsidian ranked adventurers who were hired to clear the area surrounding the training camp of goblins. Due to the machinations of Truth, the Party was wiped by a Troll in a mausoleum save for Acolyte who was brutally victimized by the Troll and Goblins; she was later rescued by Goblin Slayer's Party and retired from being an Adventurer.

Rhea Fighter's First Party
  • Leader(s): Unknown (Retired)
  • Members: Rhea Fighter (Warrior), Three Unknowns (Unknown)
  • Rank: Porcelain

Examiner's Party
  • Leader(s): Examiner (Fighter, Retired)
  • Members: Unnamed Female Wizard (Wizard)
  • Rank: Unknown

A small Party that challenged the Dungeon of the Dead, it was a small and untested Party but survived enough Dungeon Dives to gather loot. However, the Female Wizard was pressured by her partner to try new spells she only researched, which backfired and burned Examiner's right eye, blinding her in it. With this accident, the Party disbanded in time as others cleared the Dungeon.

Female Warrior's First Party
FemaleWarriorParty

Female Warrior's First Party

  • Leader(s): Unknown (Deceased)
  • Members: 5 Unnamed Female Adventurers (Various, Deceased), Female Warrior
  • Rank: Unknown

A Party that challenged the Dungeon of the Dead, it was formed by a group of young women who grew up together as "sisters" in an orphanage. Sadly, the Party was attacked by a group of renegade Adventurers who killed the majority of the Party and mortally wounded one. Female Warrior was the sole survivor, but walked away traumatized; wishing not to get close to anyone anymore.

Trivia[]

  • Most of the Parties don't have an official name and are thus named after Party Leaders, Surviving Members, Notable Quests, etc for simplicity's sake.
