Goblin Slayer[]
Burglar raised and trained Goblin Slayer after he saved the boy from the goblins that attacked his village. He was usually very harsh, if not cruel, towards Goblin Slayer as he put him through various life-death situations while throwing various riddles, harsh truths, and insults at him. Many others including Cow Girl and her uncle are quick to blame him for Goblin Slayer severely damaged emotional and stunted psychological state when he reentered society in Year One.
Despite how harsh he raised the boy who would become the "Goblin Slayer", Burglar does show some, if not very little, care for him. When he reappeared in the story in Volume 9, he sought out Goblin Slayer for a social call, and expressed disappointment that he had not "settled down" with Cow Girl yet before disappearing into thin air.
Cow Girl[]
Cow Girl makes it very clear she's not the biggest fan of Burglar for the emotional and psychological abuse he put on Goblin Slayer, despite this, Burglar is far more polite to her than he is to any character he's interacted with. When he reemerged in the present story, he chose to visit Cow Girl and expressed his shock and disappointment that she and Goblin Slayer hadn't "settle down yet" before disappearing into thin air.
Cow Girl's Uncle[]
Despite never meeting, Cow Girl's Uncle has made it clear he blames Burglar for Goblin Slayer's damaged emotional state.
Wizard Boy[]
After leaving the Frontier, Wizard Boy had become Burglar's "new pupil" alongside Rhea Fighter. However, while Rhea Fighter took her tutelage seriously, Wizard Boy refused took acknowledge Burglar as his mentor. Because Wizard Boy refused to accept Burglar as his mentor, Burglar largely ignores him and treats him almost as bad as he treated Goblin Slayer. So much so, Wizard Boy was in no hurry to return to him.
Rhea Fighter[]
Burglar has become some sort of mentor aspiring Adventurer and, for the most part, treats her much better than he ever treated Goblin Slayer or her partner Wizard Boy. He trained her well enough that she made it to the finals in a jousting tournament thanks in part to his training.
