Family[]
Cow Girl's Parents[]
Cow Girl's mother was his younger sister, and he loved her dearly, even saying he liked the man she married, often visiting them in their village. When the two were murdered by Goblins, he was devastated, especially when his sister and her husband's corpses were so rotted away, that he could only bury empty coffins for them.
Cow Girl[]
The Farmer loves his niece dearly, going as far as to adopt her when her parents were killed instead of giving her to the Earth Mother's Temple. He's constantly trying to do right by her, but admittedly, he knows he's made mistakes not explaining what happened to her family or telling her why she couldn't go home ever again when the poor girl was ten years old and lost everything and everyone she knew. He often blames himself for not knowing what to do when she became a recluse for five years.
As she's recovered, he's taken to being a positive father figure to her, but often urges her to "get out and meet people" so she can make friends.
Others[]
Goblin Slayer[]
His relationship with Goblin Slayer is "complex" to say the least. On one hand, he desires to help the young man, enjoys the rent, added security, and extra help he brings to his farm, on the other though, he sometimes believes Goblin Slayer is far too damaged from his trauma and training from Burglar. He also can't decide whether he is annoyed or entertained by Goblin Slayer's "one word answers" to his serious fears for the man's mental and physical well-being. Though he never voices it aloud, he does pity Goblin Slayer and understands his life has been nothing but hardship and his death would only further devastate his niece.
In various passive-aggressive ways, he explains his disapproval of Goblin Slayer's genocidal obsession and expresses there are other lifestyles available; dangling a future with Cow Girl on the farm as one possibility, but only if Goblin Slayer gives up being an Adventurer someday. As he's gone on in life, he's become less and less subtle about wanting him to retire, marry his niece, and take over the farm for him.
Burglar[]
Although the two have never met, Cow Girl's Uncle is not a fan of Burglar, laying the blame completely on him for Goblin Slayer's damaged emotional and mental state.
