This is the first chapter of the Goblin Slayer Side Story II: Dai Katana manga.
Full Summary[]
A scourge of death has been running across the land, causing the king to proclaim that the source of this death must be found and stopped. Heroes from everywhere gathered, but many died searching for it, until one day the Dungeon of the Dead was found. People and adventurers alike gathered around it, creating what is known as Fortress City. There, adventurers challenged the dungeon for riches and glory, but none have yet conquered it.
Captain and his party battle a shadowy figure, barely holding their own even with their number advantage, which is soon lost as a horde of undead descends upon the party. The spellcasters of the party work together to destroy the undead horde, but in the midst of the spells completion, the shadowy figure strikes, slitting the throat of Female Warrior and running his blade through Half-Elf Scout's chest. The figure presses the attack on the captain while the spellcasters fire another spell to destroy him. The spell leaves the party on the ground exhausted, yet it fails to kill the shadowy figure, who taunts the captain before delivering what seems to be a fatal blow.
