Full Summary[]
No sooner has the party identified their opponent as scruffy men, then the men attack and the battle begins. As they clash, Captain recognizes that the rumors were true - their opponents are not monsters but instead are purely malicious humans. As their opponents are human, Female Bishop asks what they should do. To which Captain says that since they've attacked adventurers, they have no right to complain if they're killed in the attempt, as Half-Elf Scout declares them no different from highwaymen. Captain wonders if these truly are the scruffy men of the rumors and Female Warrior unsteadily replies that she doesn't know.
As the battle continues Captain tries to figure out the best way to win. With six opponents, all three members of their front line must handle two of them However Female Warrior is panicking a little and Myrmidon Monk's combat skills come second to his priestly skills, making the battle even harder. Female Wizard and Female Bishop cast sleep on the men leaving them sluggish, while Half-Elf Scout defends them from an attacker that escaped the spell and declares him and all of their opponents mere rogues. With their opponents barely able to stay away, the tide quickly turns, and Captain's party slays the thugs to the last man. As the girls are amazed by how Captain's party handled things, Captain remarks that even for mere rogues they didn't go down easily, and wonders if scruffy men - fallen adventurers - are even strong. To which Female Warrior quietly confirms they are stronger.
As Captain checks on how Female Bishop is doing, she notices that he was bleeding as his arm had been injured during the fight without him noticing. The party banters a bit as Female Bishop begins to treat Captain's arm. Meanwhile as the chamber turned out to be quite large, Myrmidon Monk and Female Warrior set off to scout for their original objective of the parties in need of help.
