Dragons are monsters that exist in the Four-Cornered World of Goblin Slayer.

Overview[]

Dragons are legendary creatures that beginner adventurers fantasize in fighting.[1] In fact defeating a dragon was seem as the epitome of martial valor.[2] Dragons like many creatures, such as dark elves, bandits, hoodlums, and even slimes followed a logic and reason behind their actions as opposed to goblins who were innately evil.[3]

Furthermore, dragons were said to be dangerous creatures and a subject of adventurer requests. Not only that, dragons were known for hoarding gold.[4] And had a reputation for eating girls, though why remains a mystery.[5]

Appearance[]

Dragons look like giant lizards with horns on their heads, mouth with sharp teeth, large bodies with wings, upper and lower legs with claws and long tails.

Abilities[]

Dragons were regarded as worthy strong creatures, capable of breathing fire and flying through the air. The were also known to be long-lived monsters, able to live for a thousand years. According to Priestess, it was estimated at least 60 percent of the world’s rampaging dragons were just looking for something to do.

Dragons—true dragons—were utterly terrifying foes, as they were not creatures that sometimes skulked around fields and mountains, but overflowed with power.[6]

The feat of slaying one was an achievement that marked one enough to be a called hero and be a Platinum-ranked adventurer.[7] If anything Porcelain-ranked adventurers would be outclassed by a dragon. However, those who were able to kill a dragon, were hailed as Dragon Slayers and met with high praise.

In terms of power, dragons ranked alongside vampires as famous monsters of the world.[8]
