Dwarf Shaman became an adventurer to experience exotic tastes that could accompany his fire wine.
Chronology[]
Goblin Slayer Volume 1[]
Dwarf Shaman, along with his party, arrived at the Adventurer's Guild in the frontier to look for Goblin Slayer, hoping that he would agree to join them as their "Human" Representative. Upon finding him, mistakenly referring to him as "Beardcutter", his Dwarven nickname, Dwarf Shaman was quick to deduce that Goblin Slayer, despite his messy appearance, was perfectly equipped for cave combat and openly admitted he was impressed with the young man. After some negotiating, Dwarf Shaman and Lizard Priest manage to convince Goblin Slayer to join them in their Quest, which luckily was a high profile Goblin Slaying Quest.
Infiltrating the massive Goblin Nest, Dwarf Shaman is left aghast at the Goblins' cruelty towards female prisoners and comes to realize just what happens when a Goblin Nest is not taken care of quickly. Rallied to action, Dwarf Shaman uses his Sleep and Stupor spells to render the nest in a deep sleep, allowing them to slay the Goblins and confront their leader, a large Ogre! Though they are initially overpowered, Dwarf Shaman already using up some of his spells earlier, Goblin Slayer is able to turn the tide, quite literally, with a Gate Scroll linked with the bottom of the sea. Impressed with Goblin Slayer, he decides to take a more proactive role in taking on the ignored Goblin epidemic, Dwarf Shaman decides to stay in the Frontier Town and work alongside Goblin Slayer.
As Cow Girl's farm became a target of a Goblin Lord, Dwarf Shaman agreed to help right away and as others were rallied, Dwarf Shaman and Witch led the other spellcasters against the Goblin Army. As they were able to protect the Farm and defeated the Army, Dwarf Shaman celebrated at the Guild with the rest of the Adventurers, even tricking Rookie Warrior into getting drunk of his Special Fire Wine. His celebratory glee was broken as he was alerted that Goblin Slayer, at Priestess' request, had finally removed his helmet, revealing his face to the Guild at long last. Dwarf Shaman commented that he had fine features, being shocked that the young man was Goblin Slayer.
Goblin Slayer Volume 2[]
Dwarf Shaman, along with his party members, took a quest to eliminate Goblins underneath Water Town. They were briefly overwhelmed by a goblin champion and numerous goblins in the catacombs, but once Goblin Slayer managed to recover, he along with the rest of the party was able to drive away the goblins.
Dwarf Shaman later went to the catacombs again with High Elf Archer and Lizard Priest, and they found a floating eye guarding a large mirror. Once they regrouped with Goblin Slayer and Priestess, Dwarf Shaman scattered dust into the monster's eye to blind it and cast Spirit Wall in front of it, but the wall was immediately destroyed by the monster. However, Goblin Slayer came up with a plan, prompting Dwarf Shaman to use Stupor on the monster while it was distracted; allowing Goblin Slayer to kill it by setting off an explosion. The group finds out the gate was a portal for the goblins, and upon hearing them coming the adventurers begin fending them off. Once Lizard Priest was able to remove the mirror, Dwarf Shaman cast Falling Control, which caused an avalanche of dirt and stone to bury the Goblins.
Goblin Slayer Volume 3[]
At the Adventurer's Guild, whilst having a meal with the rest of her team, High Elf Archer in a drunken stupor complained about Goblin's Slayers obsession with goblins, though Dwarf Shaman noted she was just mad that Goblin Slayer turned her down to go on a real adventure, causing her to be annoyed at the Dwarf. However, when Goblin Slayer showed up, he was stunned when he accepted an invitation to go to the upcoming Harvest Festival with Guild Girl.
Before the Festival, Dwarf Shaman took it upon himself to build the floating lanterns with Lizard Priest for the Festival. As he built them, he inquired to Goblin Slayer why he was also buying a lot of supplies, to which he learned Goblin Slayer was setting up a great deal of traps in the forests around the Frontier Town to fend off Goblins. While Dwarf Shaman and Lizard Priest were amused, they did note that he wasn't wrong to prepare just in case as they carried on their assignments. As the Festival kicked off and Goblin Slayer took both Cow Girl and Guild Girl to the Festival (separately), Dwarf Shaman poked fun at High Elf Archer who was poorly trying to hide her jealousy.
During the night, High Elf Archer alerted Dwarf Shaman and Lizard Priest of an approaching small army of Goblins, and spurned them into action. As the others used Goblin Slayer's traps to think out the smaller armies approaching from different directions, Dwarf Shaman readied the traps and strategy for the main force led by the Dark Elf. Dwarf Shaman's magic allowed him and Lizard Priest to finish off the last of the army while Goblin Slayer, High Elf Archer, and Priestess defeated the Dark Elf.
Goblin Slayer Volume 4[]
Dwarf Shaman and Lizard Priest decide to reminisce back on the day their Party was formed and admit their appreciation for forming a Party with such "lively" Adventures like High Elf Archer, Priestess, and of course, Goblin Slayer.
Goblin Slayer Volume 5[]
As the New Year was about to begin, Goblin Slayer received a letter from Sword Maiden asking him to search for a lost friend of hers, Noble Fencer, who had run away to become an Adventurer and went missing during a Goblin Slaying Quest in the Snowy Mountains to the North. Being acclimatized to such an environment, Dwarf Shaman agreed to go and help find the missing girl, quickly finding out the village to the North had just been attacked and barely managing to save everyone before anything happened.
After finding the missing girl who had been victimized by Goblins, Dwarf Shaman realized the Goblins were actually holding up in an old Dwarven Fortress and with Goblin Slayer's assessment that a Goblin Paladin was the leader, realized things were going to be extremely tough. With a plan for infiltration sorted, Dwarf Shaman took pleasure at the expense of High Elf Archer's "Prisoner" status until Noble Fencer, who had forced herself to come along, had blown their cover part way through the infiltration.
Getting made, Dwarf Shaman and Lizard Priest followed their portion of the plan and splintered off from the Party. Together, they rescued captured women and destroyed the Goblins' food supplies ensuring they wouldn't survive the Winter should they fail to wipe out the nest. Using his Tunnel spell, Dwarf Shaman helped get the captives to safety as they regrouped with the rest of the Party against the Goblin Paladin. Dwarf Shaman helped create an avalanche to finally wipe out the Goblin army with the help of Noble Fencer, finally bringing peace to the Mountain.
Back at the Frontier Town, Dwarf Shaman partied in his usual manner and readied himself for the next adventure.
Goblin Slayer Volume 6[]
As the Spring Enrollment began and Dwarf Shaman helped clear out another Goblin nest, he agreed to help out at Noble Fencer's, now titled "Female Merchant", new training center as an instructor in magic casting.
During the events, the new recruit Wizard Boy is forced into helping Priestess as she is tasked with leading the Party to recover the whereabouts of a missing up and coming Party. Despite Dwarf Shaman advising Wizard Boy, he is left aghast at the boy's inability to listen to anyone's advice and chides the boy for nearly getting them all killed numerous times while ruining Priestess' leadership test.
Dwarf Shaman spent the rest of the week teaching the rookie spellcasters, particularly Wizard Boy, trying to drill into his head the versatility of spell crafting. As Goblins attacked the training grounds, Dwarf Shaman assisted the rest of the veterans in attacking the main force and using his spells alongside Witch to drown and bury the small army.
Goblin Slayer Volume 7[]
After receiving a letter from her older sister about her wedding, High Elf Archer invited everyone to her family home for the wedding. Dwarf Shaman agreed mainly out of kindness, but he had a feeling an Elf wedding wasn't going to be the type of celebration he would enjoy. Before going, he aided his team in rescuing a group of Priestesses from Goblins and recovered some ancient texts they were studying. While heading towards the Elf Village and taking note of the recent Goblin activity, Dwarf Shaman meets the groom for the wedding and immediately, the two get off on the wrong foot as Elves and Dwarves do, with Dwarf Shaman criticizing how Elves never seem to build their own civilization, instead just adopting where their ancestors, the Fae, left off.
Goblin Slayer Volume 8[]
Dwarf Shaman traveled to the Capital after Sword Maiden requested his Party's services in protection. While there, Dwarf Shaman did his usual and enjoyed the Capital's cuisine alongside Lizard Priest.
Things heated up when he realized Priestess' chain-mail was "borrowed" by someone (who left lots of precious gems in exchange), who was revealed to be The Princess! Things went from annoying to catastrophic when the Party discovered the Princess was kidnapped by Goblins to be a virgin sacrifice, to which Dwarf Shaman and the rest of the Party agreed to help rescue her.
Goblin Slayer Volume 9[]
During the Winter with a near endless blizzard as Goblin Slayer went with Cow Girl on an errand, Dwarf Shaman was content sitting back and relaxing, but hearing Priestess agreeing to team up with the Rookie Duo, Rookie Warrior and Apprentice Cleric, roused him to come along with the rest of the Party to the Northern Mountains. Being in his element of a snowy mountain environment, Dwarf Shaman pokes fun at High Elf Archer's beanie while trying to warn the rookies about the dangers of snowy environments, including avalanches and more importantly snow drifts covering vast holes.
Dwarf Shaman fights the Yeti with his Party
When Harefolk Hunter revealed herself to the Party and led them to her village, Dwarf Shaman was quick to realize the dire state the village was in. With the invasion of a group of Yeti, Dwarf Shaman praised Priestess' quick and clever thinking to drive them away and began to develop a plan with the others. Discovering the Ice Witch was leading the small army of Yetis and using the Drums of Winter to keep the Land in a perpetual Ice Age, Dwarf Shaman went with Lizard Priest and High Elf Archer to deal with the Yeti while Priestess went with the other Rookies, and Harefolk Hunter to steal the Drums and slay the Ice Witch bringing Spring back to the Land.
Afterwards, Dwarf Shaman and the rest of the Party notice a large fire at the base of the mountain and decide to go down and investigate all the while taking bets if Goblin Slayer was beyond the scenario. Upon arriving, he found Goblin Slayer embattled with Ogre's Brother on top of a frozen lake and had just failed to drown the beast. Working together, the Party was able to topple the Ogre into the frozen lake again but this time with Dwarf Shaman's Slow Fall spell, which caused the Ogre to slowly and gently fall into the lake, drowning him. With his victory, Dwarf Shaman returned to the Guild to enjoy a nice cup of his fire wine.
Goblin Slayer Volume 10[]
During the Summer, Dwarf Shaman lent his aid to the Temple of the Earth Mother's winery, making sure Priestess' senior Sister Grape in her coming harvest of her grapes. After a battle with undead Goblins and a Demon, rumors began to spread about Sister Grape which began upsetting Priestess, and thanks to Padfoot Waitress revealing rather interesting information about a shady wine merchant, Dwarf Shaman decided to investigate with the rest of the Guild who were also roused to action.
During his investigations, Dwarf Shaman and the others were put on guard duty for the Temple of the Earth Mother until they got a bunch of Mid-tier Adventurers and rookies to take over for them so that they could help Goblin Slayer handle a larger threat. A Goblin Horde was preparing to attack the outskirts of the Water Town and they decided to fortify the area and battle them. After Dwarf Shaman and the rest of the Party defeated the Goblins, Dwarf Shaman returned to the Earth Mother's winery to enjoy the celebration in his usual way enjoying his fire wine as well as Sister Grape's wine.
Goblin Slayer Volume 11[]
With the arrival of Female Merchant, Dwarf Shaman got roped into a quest with her to go to the Eastern Desert Kingdom to handle a rising Goblin Army as well as a conspiracy corrupting the Kingdom. While on the journey, Dwarf Shaman takes note of the Desert Kingdom's either corrupt guards or bandits dressed as guards, deducing that the Kingdom is poorly managed and suffering from executive corruption.
Following Rogue Guild intel, Dwarf Shaman and the Party infiltrate a fortress used by the Desert Chancellor's Captain of the Guard to breed an army of Goblins. Knowing a full frontal assault would be suicide, Dwarf Shaman uses his knowledge of Mountains to find a tunnel into the basement where he and the rest of the Party killed many Goblins and saved the captured women. Knowing a larger force of Goblins would come for the girls, Dwarf Shaman followed Goblin Slayer to the top of the fortress as bait while Lizard Priest had a Dragontooth Warrior take the liberated women to safety on a sand ship outside. At the very top, Dwarf Shaman used his Slow Fall spell to gently use a passing sand manta school to get his Party down to the Sand Ship and sail away as the Desert Army put down the rampaging Goblins.
Home-free, Dwarf Shaman was about to crack open his Fire Wine in celebration, but as their sand ship passed a nearby rock outcropping, a Goblin awoke a sleeping Red Dragon! Realizing the danger this creature posed, Dwarf Shaman and the rest of the Party attacked it despite being tired and weak from the night's adventuring. Seeing the beast had only just been disturbed from hibernation, Dwarf Shaman suggested using his Stupor spell to force the beast back to sleep, and working with Goblin Slayer and the rest, Dwarf Shaman succeeded in getting the Dragon back to sleep. With that barely won victory, Dwarf Shaman was finally able to drink his victory wine in peace.
Goblin Slayer Volume 12[]
Dwarf Shaman and Lizard Priest decided to meet a friend of Lizard Priest's for an important quest and decided to take Scout Boy, Druid Girl, and Half-Elf Light Warrior with them. When asked why they took the rookies, Dwarf Shaman, Lizard Priest, and Half-Elf Light Warrior explained that the duo's promotional freeze punishment was about to expire and they wanted the two to start making their own connections for when they start adventuring on their own. Dwarf Shaman also bonded with Druid Girl over their love of exotic cuisine, as they snuck off to sample the Eastern delights.
Goblin Slayer Volume 13[]
After clearing out another Goblin Den, Dwarf Shaman finds some precious stones and collected them; during their report, Guild Girl requests the Party's help in creating a "Practice Dungeon". Dwarf Shaman agreed to help in order to create a safe practice area for hopeful rookies come Spring and used his knowledge of stone and masonry to help build the dungeon up out of an abandoned temple.
During the Winter Celebration and the opening of the Mock Dungeon, Dwarf Shaman tested the potential rookies with riddles, and he rewarded them with fragments of the precious stones that he found earlier as proof of their success. After the real Goblins were found in the practice dungeon, Dwarf Shaman helped the rest of the veterans keep things safe and under control as Goblin Slayer investigated.
Goblin Slayer Volume 14[]
Sensing that Goblin Slayer wanted to try something different for a change while the Goblins went into hibernation for the Winter, Dwarf Shaman was surprised that Goblin Slayer chose to go to the North for a Quest. Dwarf Shaman used his knowledge of mountain traversal to help the Party cross the frozen mountains and into a large cave that led into an abandoned Dwarven fortress, that was overrun with larger than average Goblins. As the Party made a strategic withdrawal, running for the exit and slowly causing taking out the rampaging Goblins, Dwarf Shaman couldn't help but make fun of High Elf Archer's annoyance that Goblins were still part of her adventures.
As Dwarf Shaman and the rest of the Party arrived in the Viking Village, Dwarf Shaman and Lizard Priest admitted they were far more accepting of the Vikings' culture instead of worrying enjoy the hospitality. During a feast, Dwarf Shaman ended up fitting right in with the hosts with their love of strong drink and food.
As events came to light about a group of "Orcs" (larger than average Northern Goblins) using a Sea-Devil to help capsize ships, Dwarf Shaman agreed to help fight them off with the rest of the Party. Using his Water Walk spell, he was able to ensure his party could infiltrate the Goblin Ship and save the Dormouse Padfoot women that were taken as slaves allowing the rest of the vikings to sink the ship with ease. He then utilized his Water Walk again to force the Sea Devil to the top of the ocean, rendering it immobile and letting the Viking Chieftain tear it apart.
Goblin Slayer Volume 15[]
As Heavy Warrior was caught up in a huge and ridiculous misunderstanding involving a missing Centaur Princess, Dwarf Shaman had his fun poking fun at the insanity the man found himself in, but quickly tried to diffuse the situation when the accuser Baturu, Centaur Waitress' little sister, refused to listen to reason. With some searching, a lead was discovered in Water Town, and Dwarf Shaman prepared a coach to take the Party. However, he was hampered by Baturu's numerous complaints about being led by a horse drawn carriage. His annoyance was cut short when he discovered that the carriage had attracted the attention of Goblins riding wargs, much larger and more aggressive wolves, which shocked him given Goblins already have trouble controlling regular Wolves. As Baturu showed the Party her impressive abilities as a Plain field fighter, Dwarf Shaman gave her praise.
While in Water Town looking for clues, Dwarf Shaman and the Party were introduced to the culture of competitive sports that the Centaur who left the Plains adopted. Dwarf Shaman enjoyed the culture of food stalls that grew around the sports stadiums and voiced his approval of the Centaur making their own culture and getting others involved while he chastised High Elf Archer for getting into the gambling culture that had grown out of the sporting events.
Realizing Female Merchant had made a small fortune running some teams for the ladies' division of the Centaur Races, Dwarf Shaman and the others requested her assistance as one of her newest racers who had made a name for herself, Silver Blaze matched the description of the missing Centaur Princess. Upon deducing that Silver Blaze and the missing princess are more than likely one and the same, Dwarf Shaman and the rest of his Party helped Baturu come to terms with the revelations as Goblin Slayer and Priestess went to get more information.
With some confirmed information, Dwarf Shaman and the Party went out into the fields to lure out a pack of Goblins, which they promptly slaughtered and followed a strangler back to his nest where an Immortal Sorcerer was preparing a ritual. The ritual in question utilizing a sacrifice that was Silver Blaze, who Baturu confirmed was the missing Centaur Princess! Using his knowledge of stone, Dwarf Shaman worked with Goblin Slayer and Lizard Priest in the vanguard and made their way to the Immortal Sorcerer, and created an opening for Baturu to cut him down and save Silver Blaze. As the Immortal Sorcerer tried to complete his spell, Dwarf Shaman worked with Goblin Slayer and Lizard Priest to collapse the stone structure, which crushed and buried the Immortal Sorcerer beneath the rubble, ending his threat once and fore all.
Back in the Water Town the next day, Dwarf Shaman enjoyed the boxed seats Female Merchant had prepared as he and the rest of the Party watched the Centaur Races and awaited Silver Blaze's return to the Stadium.
