An elven bronze-ranked adventurer. After chancing upon Goblin Slayer, she winds up accompanying him on his adventures whilst pursuing her own goal of hunting down an evil wizard.
Appearance[]
The female elf swordswoman has long, flowing blue hair gathered in a high ponytail, adorned with a yellow ribbon. Her striking green eyes stand out against her features. She wears a long blue cloak over white attire, complemented by black thigh-highs and black gloves. A black belt secures her outfit, and she likely wears a black shirt underneath. On her left arm, she sports a classic metal armguard, and she dons black shorts. Her sword is usually sheathed on her back.
Like any other elf, she has visible pointy ears. It is later confirmed by Goblin Slayer that she is an elf.
Personality[]
A skilled adventurer with centuries of experience, the elf swordswoman obliges herself to provide advice to those willing to ask, as demonstrated with Goblin Slayer, whom reminds her of her youth. Initially thinking of humans as little more than hairsplitters, she quickly gets over prejudices through her encounters with Goblin Slayer, going as far as to "pay [him] with her body" by teaching him some swordfighting fundamentals.
She is rather loose with money, having little knowledge of the economy and finding the concept of currency uncouth. After selling a magic sword, she admits to spending all of the money made within a few days.
Chronology[]
Goblin Slayer Year One[]
First seen travelling alongside High Elf Archer, the two bid farewell to each other before going off in separate ways, with the Elf Swordswoman choosing to go west. Following the scent of chaos, she encounters and draws her sword on Goblin Slayer, believing him to be suspect, but sheathes her weapon upon learning he was only a young adventurer. She gives him advice to him in a short conversation, she obtains directions to the frontier town and makes her way there.
After saving Cow Girl's Uncle from a sudden owlbear encounter on the road, she escorts him back to the farm where she meets Goblin Slayer again. Later, she comes across him once more in an ancient ruin and uses her magic sword to kill the one-eyed monster he was having trouble with.
Intrigued by Goblin Slayer's tendency to attract chaos, the Elf Swordswoman decides to accompany him for the time being. As her own method of payment, she taught him some swordfighting fundamentals through a few sparring sessions. Eventually, she overhears Goblin Slayer accepting a supposed goblin slaying quest, and promptly tags along.
With the weather being rather unforgiving, the Elf Swordswoman takes them to rest below a great tree, teaching Goblin Slayer how to be resourceful when setting up a campfire. She then tells him a story; one day, a human sorcerer interested in creating superior lifeforms had ventured to an elven village, where he witnessed an elf be provided fruit from a branch through words alone. The elves told him this had been a blessing from nature, but the sorcerer would have none of it, claiming the world of creation ran on the power of true words alone. When Goblin Slayer asks her if she hoped to encounter the sorcerer during the goblin hunt, she waves off his concern.
Continuing their journey, the adventurers encounter and defeat an imitation of a Tarasque assembled from a collection of corpses. Making their way into the goblin cave, Elf Swordswoman confronts the sorcerer and defeats her adversary, but she was mortally wounded and infested with worms in the process. She requested Goblin Slayer to end her suffering, not wanting to die from being devoured by the worms. He obliged, putting her blade through her throat. [1]
After the battle, Goblin Slayer committed her body onto a rowboat and sent it down river with her effects.
Abilities[]
- Swordsmanship: A self-taught swordswoman, she utilizes a fast and graceful combat style effective enough to behead an owlbear with and dismember a tarasque. Goblin Slayer has compared the movement of her sword when fighting to that of dance.
