Full Summary[]
After finishing her invocation, Priestess receives a handout from the Earth Mother before running off elsewhere.
At the Adventurer's Guild, Guild Girl and Goblin Slayer discover their assailant was Rhea Scout, the adventurer they refused to promote. Goblin Slayer tells her that he noticed him talking with someone in the tavern and before that, staring at him at the guild. He concludes that the goblins may be at work. Before Goblin Slayer sets off, Guild Girl encouraged him to do his best, which he affirmed.
Goblin Slayer discovers the party had all assembled. High Elf Archer reveals she had eavesdropped on the two suspicious people in the tavern, before telling him that one adventure with them was the cost for their help. Goblin Slayer informs them that he saw shadows in all directions from the watchtower. Lizard Priest suggests requesting the aid of other adventurers, but Goblin Slayer rebuffs it. He explains that the enemy had divided itself into small uncoordinated units and that he had already made preparations. He further reveals that goblin quests had been scarce, despite the goblins' need to live by theft; this leads the party to conclude that someone else has been supplying them.
One goblin unit loses several of their own to Goblin Slayer's booby traps, before being ambushed by Lizard Priest, who counted fourteen goblins killed. Goblin Slayer corrects him by saying it was fifteen, before crushing a goblin beneath his boot.
