Full Summary[]
To prevent an infection, Goblin Slayer’s party performs an extraction of the arrowhead in High Elf Archer's leg using a heated knife followed by Lizard Priest's Refresh miracle. Goblin Slayer grows suspicious over how the goblins didn't flee when they were cornered, copied his arrowhead tactic, and had their wounds healed with a miracle. After venturing into what appeared to be an altar, the adventurers locate a naked and dirtied Noble Fencer on the floor and notice her neck had been branded. The mark on her neck was that of the green moon associated with the God of Wisdom, a deity who indiscriminately granted knowledge on a whim. Upon ruling out the possibility of a Non-Prayer being the leader, Goblin Slayer declares their enemy to be a goblin paladin.
A few weeks before, Noble Fencer's Party had achieved some success in starving the goblins to death. She thanks the half-elf for agreeing to her siege plan, and is confident that they will finish the quest without anyone getting hurt. However, when the group begins to run out of provisions, the party members, including the half-elf, tell her to go back to the village and that they were against the plan from the beginning. Noble Fencer complies, stating that it was the logical choice; the half-elf then insults her by proclaiming she just didn't want to dirty her clothes going into a goblin nest. A heartbroken Noble Fencer leaves lamenting how she was so sure her plan, like her going back to the village alone, was the best and logical choice.
