Full Summary[]
Inside the armory, Priestess hands Noble Fencer her torch to make her feel more included; she is somewhat successful, evident by her sudden shyness at the offer. The party finds an abundance of tools instead of weapons, making Goblin Slayer hypothesize that the goblins have learned how to forge swords. Noble Fencer dismisses the need for a weapon after a suggestion from Dwarf Shaman, and then the need for armor after he proves rather zealous with the matter. After the group equips themselves, Lizard Priest uses the Rust miracle to decay the other items. The party is then alerted by the sound of a bellowing horn, and move to investigate the source.
The group comes across a large gathering of goblins from a distance, which included the appearance of the goblin paladin. Goblin Slayer realizes that they made a mistake; the goblin paladin was to be anointed by the goblin cleric Noble Fencer killed earlier, and it would not be long before the goblins realize something was wrong. At the same time, the mark on Noble Fencer's neck begins glowing and causing her pain, indicating it as a curse from the dark gods. Despite a healing miracle being cast on her, Noble Fencer is unable to hold back a scream of agony, alerting the paladin and his forces to the party's location.
