Full Summary[]
Wizard Boy and Rhea Scout collapse after training. The two talks about their respective trainers, with Rhea Scout being envious of Wizard Boy in learning from Goblin Slayer as wants to learn how to use a sling. Wizard Boy is dismissive of being Goblin Slayer's student even finding him a weirdo and his specialization in goblin slaying to be underachieving. Apprentice Cleric, overhearing them, rebukes Wizard Boy for criticizing their senior who at least accomplished a reputation whilst he and the other rookies have yet to achieve anything. And on another point, the cleric heard that Wizard Boy's goblin hunting did not go so well, so he has nothing to brag about.
That being said, Wizard Boy notes that she and Rookie Warrior only hunt Giant Rats. Though their defense, Rookie Warrior states that they are just about the only monsters his team can manage. Adding that Giant Rats are poisonous resulting the team in expending on a lot of antidotes and potions. The cleric that next time her level goes up, she will ask her deity for the Cure Miracle as it would save money, with the warrior agreeing then he could buy a broadsword and some armor then.
Priestess comes over with a basket of lemon water and lunch as they need their strength. Wizard Boy takes her up on the offer. Today's lunch appears to be farm sandwiches and lemon water prepared by Cow Girl which the rookies enjoy. Priestess asks how Wizard Boy is holding up, but he is just brushed off. However, recalling Goblin Slayer's words about taking action to a problem rather than wait before it's too late she still tries to engage him. First by opening a conversation with the other rookies, noticing that Rhea Scout's other party members were absent. Rhea Scout though informs Priestess her leader was the second son of a noble, however, his older brother died and he was made heir and forced him to return home, resulting in the dissolution of her party. Rhea Scout doesn't mind though as the turnover with adventurers who are noble is normal. While being a noble sounds like a hassle, the rhea notes that being a noble has some advantages as they are educated, have good equipment, and are sometimes skilled.
Apprentice Cleric is glad that their old comrade is set, though Rhea Fighter believes that the life of a noble isn't all there is. Rhea Fighter is hyped about achieving her own dreams, though Rookie Warrior feels that just makes her sound like a bumpkin. This draws both Rookie Warrior and Apprentice Cleric into the conversation, and Priestess comments that the two get along so well, causing the pair to blush. As for Wizard Boy all he feels is his desire for revenge on the goblins. Priestess then opens up to Priestess talking about his sister of how she wanted to slay a dragon, to which Wizard Boy claims is an impossible dream. But Priestess points out that's the nature of dreams in that they don't always need to come true. Priestess admits that if nothing else, they still had that aspiration before they went into the cave and were destroyed, it doesn't devalue what was important to them.
High Elf Archer drops by, telling them that she will be showing them the cave later. Dwarf Shaman comes over and thinks that she is taking them to slay some goblins, though the lef has another idea of getting the rookies familiar with combat in caves. As the rookies are excited for training, Priestess notices Goblin Slayer conversing with Heavy Warrior and Spearman.
That night, Goblin Slayer bids Cow Girl good night, telling her he will not be back for dinner and to bar the door, though she cheerfully tells her friend that he worries too much.
