Full Summary[]
Spearman and Heavy Warrior waiting at a table at a tavern call out to Goblin Slayer as they have been waiting for him. Goblin Slayer asks why they did not have drinks at the Adventurer's Guild, though Spearman states he wants to avoid rumors spreading that he hangs out with a shady guy like Goblin Slayer. Though Heavy Warrior states that not actually true, as he claims that Spearman is just too insecure to let any of the usual crowd see him sharing a drink with Goblin Slayer, particularly a certain receptionist.
The trio order their drinks and a centaur waitress appears with a tray of their orders. The waitress notes that its surprising finding the three famous adventurers at the tavern. The trio's topic drift to the novelty of a centaur waitress, then to women, such as Heavy Warrior's attraction to Female Knight. The trio enjoy their time as this is a conversation, they normally can't have at their guild before toasting.
After the meal, they leave the tavern, with Heavy Warrior and Spearman drunk and singing. Spearman then asks Goblin Slayer what he intends to do about Guild Girl, though Goblin Slayer is clueless on what he means. Spearman, frustrated on how dunce his companion is with women, wonders if she should have brought Witch to help him talk to Goblin Slayer. Though suspects that his female comrade is spying on their outing, and as it turns out she is via a crystal ball.
Spearman is overly jealous that Goblin Slayer is associated with various good-looking ladies like High Elf Archer, Cow Girl, and Priestess. Though Goblin Slayer has no interest at least until all the goblins are all gone. Spearman is silent on Goblin Slayer's answer, though Heavy Warrior tells the other adventurer to not dwell on Goblin Slayer's choice as a man is free to choose his domain like a king. This reminds Spearman of a story of how a mercenary became a king. Heavy Warrior doesn't know much about that admitting his ignorance, which Goblin Slayer recommends he study more, since he has money and enough intelligence.
But Heavy Warrior claims to not have enough time, noting then he won't be able to go on any adventures and put his party through hell. Both adventurers admit that that it is difficult. Though when Spearman mentions Heavy Warrior's affections to Female Knight, the latter gives a kick to the former. All in all Heavy Warrior does say he does not mind having her around. Spearman is envious as it seems like Goblin Slayer and Heavy Warrior have it made and easy with their female partner. Heavy Warrior claims that perhaps Spearman is trying too hard. This is rebuked by Spearman who says that to be born a man is to want two things: beautiful women and to be the strongest. And if he isn't aiming for one of those things, then everything is meaningless.
Heavy Warrior tells Spearman he's sounding like one of the rookies they are training. Smiling, Spearman states that being the strongest matters as he believes that when he is the strongest he will be able to do anything. Adding that women will love him and people will thank him when that happens, believing he can do some good in the world. Though Heavy World is in disbelief that Spearman actually thinks women would love him afterwards.
Despite the doubt, Spearman secretly believes that the receptionist would do so. Though notes that even if he had a helmet like Goblin Slayer, she would see through him.
He then asks Goblin Slayer what he wanted to dream of becoming when he was a child. After some consideration, Goblin Slayer remembers his youth with his sister. He then replies that he dreamed of becoming an adventurer. Hearing this Spearman thinks Goblin Slayer fulfilled his long sough my wish, though is told it’s more complicated than that.
When asked what else he would like to do, Goblin Slayer, thinking about Priestess and the rookie adventurers, mused that he would like to let her do what she wants.
