- It is revealed that Goblin Slayer used poisoned tipped spears against the goblin riders, which he hoped would spread to the nest when the goblins retreated. Though the plan was foiled when the patrolling elves slaughtered them.

Full Summary[]
That night Goblin Slayer stands watch at the camp while his friends sleep. He thinks back on the peculiar behavior of the goblins from yesterday, as they attacked in broad daylight and an armed adventurer party. Not only that they set up an ambush with their mounted wolves. Goblins alone would be trouble enough, but Goblin Slayer understands that it takes serious resources to manage mounts, such as food, shelter and pleasures. For the last item, Goblin Slayer wonders if that is the main motivation of the goblin attack. However he is confused as why the creatures would be so close to an elven village.
His thoughts are disturbed when a sword is placed by his head and an armored elf demands to know what he is doing in elven lands. The others in the camp soon awake, and the elf realizes that they are adventurers. Dwarf Shaman asks if the elves were the ones who finished off the elves. The elf confirms that the elven forces wiped them out, though not before inferring it was the adventurers fault for allowing them to escape. Goblin Slayer is disappointed as the poison he infected the goblins with did not reach the nest. But takes solace that the goblins are dead.
The elf then asks the party about the arrows found on some of the goblins, as they belong to his kin. Lizard Priest and Dwarf Shaman hearing his flowery vernacular realize that the elf is High Elf Archer's elder sister much to his embarrassment. They direct him to the tent where the female party members are. The elf wastes no time heading there, opening the tent flap and met by the sight of the female party members packing up. And one groggily awaken High Elf Archer who greets him while the other women shriek at the intrusion.
After some time, the new elf, composing himself thanks the group for escorting his future sister-in-law and that he will take over to guide her to the village. Though High Elf Archer objects as they are her friends. The elf then guides the party through the forest and into a maze of branches. Goblin Slayer attempts to ask the elf about the goblins in the area, though the elf scoffs that there is nothing odd as the creatures usually spring up every so decade or so related to a demon.
Even so, the male elf thinks that they are not a danger to warrant creating barriers. Guild Girl and Priestess note the similar mentality that the elves have compared with newbie adventurers. In that, goblins are regarded as irksome creatures against some of the more fearsome monsters like demons, dragons, evil gods, etc.
There is something that bothers the elf, as it appears that a being known as "The One That Stops The Waters," has been spotted near the village. It is a venerable being that lives in the waters of the forest and which the elves are forbidden to lay a hand on. Still the creature is regarded as a myth to some in the village.
They are guided into the village and brought before a magnificent sight of a village intertwined in a latticework of trees, which High Elf Archer introduces to her friends as her home.
