Full Summary[]
Dwarf Shaman, Lizard Priest, and Priestess join Goblin Slayer and High Elf Archer at the balcony where they are accessing the situation with the Mokele Mubenbe, whilst the others of their group have taken shelter below. Goblin Slayer notes that the monster is rampaging. The adventurers also spot the elves moving in the trees of the forest and deduce that they will soon battle the monster. Lizard Priests believes that the elves can handle the situation, even though High Elf Archer is worried as the monster is the One That Stops the Waters. If the elves kill the Mokele Mubenbe, it could be a disaster if the waters are dammed. She explains that the Mokele Mubenbe is actually a Lernaean Hydra, albeit a young one, but one that lived during the Age of the Gods. Thus it is a revered creature, so they must find a way to return it to the forest.
The task is easier said than done as when several of High Elf Archerās friend suggest using force of violence, it is rejected. From their vantage point Goblin Slayer spots something odd on the back of the monster. It is a goblin rider and the realize that it is the one driving the monster to attack. That being said they have a new target. The group head out to confront the monster.
The elves work to bar the Mokele Mubenbe's movement by growing thick branches in its path. High Elf Archer goes on the offensive to kill the goblin rider on the beast's back. After some misses, she succeeds in killing the goblin. Lizard Priest uses Dragon's Roar to confuse it, with Dwarf Shaman using his magic to lull it to sleep. Followed by Goblin Slayer throwing a pepper bomb at its face to keep it off balance. The adventurers then use rope to ensnare its legs, causing it to be brought down, ending its threat.
