Goblin Slayer Wiki

Half-Elf Warlock is an adventurer and member of a Ragged Party that was down on its luck for a while. Due to her troubled past and her party's bad luck, she possesses a sour demeanor.

Appearance[]

Half-Elf Warlock has light hair that covers her right eye, and a long robe with a hood which she usually keeps up. She also paints her nails a dark color and is usually seen with a spell book in hand.

Personality[]

Quiet and stoic, one would be forgiven for thinking she has a shy demeanor, but that is far from the case. Half-Elf Warlock has an extremely foul attitude, with sprinkles of paranoia, distrust, feeling underappreciated, and even being compared to having an attitude like a grumpy cat. This has caused her party to fall into a dynamic of arguing amongst themselves until Elf Scout joins the party.

Chronology[]

Background[]

Half-Elf Warlock was born in a place that was pretty lawless, where even the general store clerks were in cahoots with the local bandits. Not only this caused Half-Elf Warlock to leave her home when she had the chance, but it also caused her to develop a very distrustful view of administrative officials and just everyone in general.

Year One Volume 3[]

Half-Elf Warlock entered the Adventurer's Guild and tried to go on Quests that could help her gain spell books, she loudly complained when she was told she had to join the Guild officially as an Adventurer. Because of this, she had to stomach Sewer Quests for a time which only infuriated her greatly.

Later when she learned a quest she was waiting for was already taken, she was angered about losing out on recovering spell books from Dark-Elves and blamed the Guild for her losing out. As she marched off, Axe Warrior overheard her complaints and approached her, hoping she could fill in as a Spellcaster for his Party. As he tried talking to her as she was already agitated and distrustful, he was interrupted by Scout Boy and Druid Girl who were trying to keep Heavy Warrior from leaving the Guild in his weakened state.

Later, Axe Warrior was able to get Half-Elf Warlock to join his growing Party; alongside Middle-Aged Monk and Rhea Scout.

Interlude[]

Unlike the rest of her peers, like Witch and Female Knight, who went on to become accomplished Adventurers, Silver-Ranked, and even living legends, Half-Elf Warlock did not. Instead, her Party fell on hard times, unaware that Rhea Scout was siphoning funds from the Party, and stayed at Steel-Rank for a long time which only further soured her already dour personality.

Half-Elf Warlock tries to get that promotion

During a promotion review, Half-Elf Warlock nonchalantly commented if praying would help get them promoted, even she would bow her head and pray as she was that desperate.

As Rhea Scout went in cocky, Half-Elf Warlock quickly noted that he somehow wasn't nervous at all despite the promotion being a "make or break" moment for the Party. Her suspicions were only doubled as Rhea Scout barged out of his review, didn't say a word, and was never seen again.

Half-Elf Warlock was later promoted to Sapphire after her interview. However, she was never told about Rhea Scout's larceny.

Goblin Slayer Volume 10[]

After three years, Half-Elf Warlock and the rest of her Party had risen to Emerald-Rank, and they were charged to lead the defense of the Earth Mother's Temple against the Forces of Chaos. As the Forces arrived, Half-Elf Warlock created a force field to protect the defenders but complained at how hard it was to maintain the shield. Her attitude continued to worsen with the stress building, and she blamed Axe Warrior for not killing the Manticore faster.

During the height of battle, an interloper revealed himself as a Dark-Elf and went to kill Half-Elf Warlock, only for her to just kill him in a rage with a lightning bolt for "being loud" while she was trying to concentrate. She then revealed she actually had no idea of the situation that had just transpired and admitted she just randomly "iced" him for annoying her and yelled for everyone to "get back to work". Her order was swiftly followed out of fear.

Goblin Slayer Volume 13[]

Half-Elf Warlock thinks Elf Scout is too friendly

Half-Elf Warlock thinks Elf Scout is too friendly

As Guild Girl and Goblin Slayer were preparing their Practice Dungeon, Half-Elf Warlock announced she was being tasked by the Guild to help out by creating "Goblins" for the event, she'd be unavailable for Quests for a while. Seeing the potential disaster of losing their spellcaster and thus being unable to go on quests, Axe Warrior tried to convince Half-Elf Warlock to get them hired as help as well which only infuriated her further. Elf Scout, the Party's new recruit, tried to butter her up into trying to help out the rest of the Party and into being nicer for her own sake. This act, however, caused the already paranoid Half-Elf Warlock to suspect that her new recruit was coming on to her for romantic reasons, either way, Elf Scout's politeness creeped her out.

During the event, she worked tirelessly to make more and more fake Goblins which only annoyed her as more was asked of her. However, when an actual Goblin body was found in the Practice Dungeon, Half-Elf Warlock explained how her Puppet spell worked and revealed the body before them was a real Goblin. Half-Elf Warlock and the rest of her Party then went into "Protection Mode" and went about making sure all the young rookies in the Practice Dungeon were accounted for.

Abilities[]

A mid-level wizard, but sadly lacking in her collection of spell books.

Equipment[]

  • Spell Books: Half-Elf Warlock keeps a few spell books in order to learn magic, and she covets them greatly. In fact, the only reason she joined the Guild was because she needed quests that could lead her to more spell books.
  • Short Sword: In her rookie days, she carried a short sword for defense since she was a solo Adventurer.

Spells[]

  • Force Field: Half-Elf Warlock can create a large force field to protect an entire temple, however, this appears to be hard to maintain.
  • Lightning Bolt: Half-Elf Warlock can create a bolt of lightning.
  • Creation: Using a catalyst, Half-Elf Warlock can create a working minion to do her bidding. For example, using a Goblin tooth, she can create a Goblin. However, the spell greatly saps her vitality.
    • Goblin Puppets are tools created by a creation spell, that look like real goblins and are hard to distinguish from the real ones.  When destroyed, they slowly disappear and then drop the items placed into them.
