CerebralCortex, I and others have already given a valid justification for not updating the characters' ages. It's better to leave the calculating of ages up to the reader, rather than by stating it as fact on the wiki based on interpretations. The numerical values should only be updated when explicitly stated, so that there is a solid reference to refer to. What do I reference with these "updated" ages? "It's been two years, so you can connect the dots"?
The wiki staff have went over this with you multiple times both on Discord and the site, and based on your recent comment, you have refused to accept any justification as to why you can't have the ages updated your way since last January. This isn't the Zelda or Re:Zero wikis, and we see no reason to copy what they do just because you favor it.
Again? The sources you referenced do not explicitly state that Dwarf Shaman or Goblin Slayer have aged, and you have only brought up speculation and assumptions to support your information. As a result, I have reverted your edits.
It wasn't an speculation nor assumptions. It was stated in the volume that a "full year" passed since Priestess was rescued and joined Goblin Slayer. Here's what I found from the narration:
vol 6 ch 5 (in Cow Girl POV):
"A year--it had been a year since he went on that adventure to save that priestess girl or, more accurately, to kill goblins."
Same chapter (in Pristess POV):
"It had been a full year since the four of them had become a party."
It was stated multiple times, even in chapter 2 of vol 6, that there's a full year time gap when the story takes place. If the story takes place explicitly a year after they started the story, that means the character aged regardless of which character aged. Look at Re:Zero, even they have a full year time gap and every characters aged during the story. So regardless, if a full year has passed, then everyone aged. Plus, Dwarf Shamen joinded, HEA, and LP joined Goblin Slayer months before the main story takes place in vol 4, so they age regardless.
Dude, this isn't a loose conclusion. The novel literally states multiple times in volume 6 a FULL YEAR passes since Prestess joined the group. It means if everyone survived a year, they aged by 1. Let's put this in example: LP birthday is somewhere in summer and HEA & DS birthday is in Fall, if a full year passes in the correct order, then they aged by 1. Not "we're 12 volumes in and HEA is 2001 years old, let's put that in". That's like a child being born in a leap year and get a birthday when that day comes, i.e 1 birthday for every 4 years. Time doesn't move that slow in the GS universe. It doesn't matter who said who, if a year passed, a year passed, that means everyone aged by 1 regardless who directly stated. If you don't believe me, ask the Re:Zero admins from the Re:Zero Wikia and they'll give you the same answer.
You are still basing your conclusion on your own original research, which is not a reliable source. Nothing you have referenced directly supports your speculation; I'm not saying that your information can be considered false, but without firm and explicit evidence given by the material (as with Priestess) it can't be posted on the wiki.
Also, what the Re:Zero Wiki does has nothing to do with what the Goblin Slayer Wiki does.
Bro...it's not on original research. I am literally reading the digital copies of the GS volumes and giving you definitive proof that everyone aged a year. Again, I am giving you evidence of the LN and saying that a YEAR PASSED that is STATED in the novel. She 1st joined the Guild in Spring in the 1st vol, right? 6 volumes in and a year passed, Guess what, it's spring, which vol 6 stated and takes place. That means a full year passed since she had begun her adventure. Yeah, priestess gain an age only because she stated it. You, me or anyone doesn't know WHEN is her birthday. It could be in summer, fall, winter, any season. She stated she is 16 only because a year passed since she was adventuring with GS and crew for a year. Let me ask you this: if you know any of the character's birthday, tell us when...?
I am bringing up ReZero wikia because the wikia if filled with actual japanese translators for the WN/LN.
By explicit evidence, I meant text that directly states that the characters have reached that age. Yes, a year has passed and it's completely possible that the characters have aged. However, as I have said again and again, until the material explicitly states that they have aged (e.g. X has turned 16), the speculated ages cannot be posted on the wiki.
Such speculative calculations should left to the interpretation of the reader, rather than posting it as "fact" on the wiki.
If I may interject, I won't refute that a year has passed and that this means characters have aged a year, because I agree.
However, their current ages should be left up to the reader's interpretation rather than being put as factual on the wiki. All the GS wiki aims to do is provide reference and information based on the source material. In that sense, this isn't the Re:Zero wiki, because time isn't constantly being recorded as it passes to provide ages in this wiki. Readers can do that themselves, perhaps even basing it off the direct sources this wiki points to.
You could argue against why things that are not explicitly said in the source materials (by explicit, I mean Dwarf Shaman says something like "It's my birthday, I'm 108 now") being not allowed in this wiki, however. Though the main reason being for that I believe is because that standard is held due to a previous blow to this wiki's credibility involving a certain previous mod posting unsourced theories that ran amok.
Just a heads up, <ref name=""> is only used when you want to cite the same source multiple times (see this for more information). If you are only referencing the source once, just use <ref> instead of <ref name="">.
What I didn't actually know, the TCG series, Weiss Schwartz, get the green light to have Goblin Slayer to be in their TCG series. If you all don't know what that series is, here's the link to the English site: https://en.ws-tcg.com/

Anyway, I would like to get your input on the necessary parameters needed for the anime episode infobox.
