Padfoot Waitress (女給, Jokyū)[1] is a young woman who works at the Adventurer's Guild tavern in the Frontier as a waitress.
Appearance[]
Padfoot Waitress is a young padfoot with brown hair tied into a ponytail, lupine ears, a tail, and a large chest.[1] She wears a traditional medieval waitress uniform, along with a pair of boots.
In Goblin Slayer: Brand New Day, she sports paws instead of hands but this has been explained away with her ability to grow a Winter coat and shed during Spring and Summer.
Personality[]
Padfoot Waitress also has a great deal of pride in her abilities as a waitress and chef. She is very friendly and compassionate toward her clients; she gives extra food out to Adventurers who can't afford food but need it.
Chronology[]
Goblin Slayer Volume 4[]
After Goblin Slayer refused to eat in the tavern, Padfoot Waitress spent the next few days trying to make a meal that Goblin Slayer would eat, but to no avail. She later had a talk with Cow Girl, who told Padfoot Waitress the recipe for a stew that Goblin Slayer's sister used to make for him. The following day, she made and gave the stew to Goblin Slayer, who accepted her offer for a taste. She briefly celebrated after he said it was not bad, but stopped after he declined her offer to order the stew. Padfoot Waitress was then told that someone was waiting for him for dinner. Realizing that he meant no ill will, Padfoot Waitress gave up and offered everyone there the rest of the stew as a house special.[1]
Later on, she takes time to be a spectator of Priestess, Cow Girl, High Elf Archer, Guild Girl, and Inspector playing a tabletop game with great interest.[2]
Goblin Slayer Volume 6[]
As Goblin Slayer's Party celebrated Priestess' first Quest as Party Leader, Padfoot Waitress served them; bringing lots of cheese to Lizard Priest.
Goblin Slayer Volume 10[]
As Sister Grape came under fire by unfounded rumors, Padfoot Waitress noticed these started as a wine merchant from out of town came to the guild trying to muscle in on the wine trade. Her mention of the Wine Merchant was the clue Priestess needed to figure out who was trying to ruin Sister Grape's image.
Goblin Slayer Volume 12[]
Padfoot Waitress, Cow Girl, Guild Girl, and Inspector take time to talk
With the onset of Winter, Cow Girl came to the guild and was directed to Padfoot Waitress; as she was hoping to get in touch with the blacksmith. Padfoot Waitress, however, volunteered her help with Cow Girl's issue (trying to figure out Goblin Slayer's shirt size) in exchange for Cow Girl teaching her how to knit a sweater for the coming Winter.
As Cow Girl teaches her how to knit, Padfoot Waitress takes the lessons in earnest and is able to produce a sweater that fit her perfectly. She then revealed to Cow Girl she intended the sweater to be a gift for Apprentice Boy, only for Cow Girl to remind her he certainly wouldn't to be able to fit the large chest size she knitted into the sweater.
Later, Guild Girl and Inspector joined the duo and updated them on the current events of the Desert Kingdom being liberated. Padfoot Waitress went to get snacks for them to enjoy and brought a treat from the Southern Regions, Hot Cocoa. As they enjoyed the snacks, Padfoot Waitress didn't realize the Hot Cocoa was making her drunk. She then needed all the girls to stop her from her drunken antics.
She later would give Apprentice Boy the sweater she made for him; and was blissfully unaware he was amazed at the bulging chest size.
Abilities[]
