Sand Bandit was an Adventurer who was part of a Female Bishop's first Adventurer Party. After Female Bishop was captured and savaged by Goblins, Sand Bandit was tricked into committing grave crimes in order to become stronger by the Black Hat Wizard. After a confrontation with Female Bishop's new Party, Black Hat Wizard killed her and the rest of her Party.

Appearance[]

Being of Desert Kingdom ethnicity, Sand Bandit had an olive-skinned complexion; yet had light-colored hair. Strangely, her blood was described as having a sweet smell to it.

Her choice of outfit consisted of a small turban, minimal clothing, with arm-guards and a scarf. Her outfit had an Arabic Dancer look to it.

Personality[]

Little is known about Sand Bandit before Female Bishop's ill-fated quest, but it's clear she cared a lot about Female Bishop and the rest of her Party. Female Bishop's traumatic ordeal and her inability to save her changed Sand Bandit; making her more willing to do horrible things in order to become stronger.

The ordeal with Female Bishop had hardened Sand Bandit though, she had become fiery-tempered and become incredibly possessive of Female Bishop like the rest of her Party. She was extremely hostile towards Female Bishop's new Party and was ready to attack them to "reclaim" her.

Notably, the unhealthy possession of her old friend was mainly due to the manipulations of the Black Hat Wizard.

Chronology[]

Background[]

Hailing from the Desert Kingdom to the far East, Sand Bandit heeded the call to adventure and went to Western Kingdom to tackle the Dungeon of the Dead. Eventually, she formed a Party with the Magic Knight, Black-Haired Lord, Priest, and Female Bishop as their Scout. Despite their initial positive beginning, their first Dungeon Delve was met with disaster as they were overrun by Goblins and were forced to abandoned Female Bishop to be captured, tortured, and raped.

Horrified by her inability to help and abandonment of Female Bishop, Sand Bandit was convinced to level grind by the Black Hat Wizard. However, this version of level grinding required her to murder fellow Adventurers so she agreed to abandon Female Bishop (who had escaped the Goblins) in town and could be innocent of her future crimes, instructing her to "stay at the tavern". She had always intended to collect Female Bishop later when she was strong enough to protect her.

Eventually, Sand Bandit and the rest of the Party secretly began murdering fellow Adventurers at Black Hat Wizard's instruction.

Dai Katana Volume 2[]

After sometime, Sand Bandit and the rest of her Party had grown much stronger under Black Hat Wizard's tutelage, making a name for herself in the town. She eventually ran into Female Bishop and discovered she had been scouted into a new Party with Captain. Out of the entire Party, Sand Bandit was the most annoyed that Female Bishop had been "poached" and became very confrontational with Captain. Sand Bandit refused to let Female Bishop go and was convinced by Black Hat Wizard to have a "contest" to get Female Bishop back.

Abilities[]

Sand Bandit was a well trained scout specializing in wielding many curved daggers. She was made incredibly powerful thanks to her tutelage under the Black Hat Wizard, making a name for herself in the Dungeon of the Dead. Her abilities, however, seemed to leave her at the weakness of polearms users, preferring not to fight them.

  • Enhanced Abilities: Thanks to the Black Hat Wizard's tutelage, Sand Bandit's abilities were magically enhanced in order to make her stronger.
  • Enhanced Speed & Reflexes: Her light leather equipment was noted being "not thick at all", implying she relied heavily on her nimbleness and speed.
  • Cursed Ring: A Ring that enhanced Sand Bandit's abilities, but also just the Black Hat Wizard the ability to claim her soul.

Trivia[]

  • Sand Bandit's choice of daggers are modeled after a Jambiya, a small curved dagger of Arabic origin; most likely a reference to her Desert Kingdom heritage.
