Sasquatches are a race of giants that inhabit the northern mountains. They were misshapen humanoids covered in white fur, but actually, it was said that their ancestors were giants, but have since been much reduced since then, becoming something like overlarge apes. Their existence was spoken in old tales where they were referred to as Ice Gods or primordial giants who feasted upon anyone that came into their territory. According to Dwarf Shaman in the folktales, their best cook was said to be the Ice God's Daughter.[1]

In the past, the sasquatches were just one of the dangers faced by the harefolk tribe in the mountains and the giants would only occasionally pick off villagers. That, however, ended around a hundred years ago when the sasquatches began to get organized under the Ice Witch and began to systematically hunt down the harefolk every single day in honor of the era of winter.
