When his sister was kidnapped by Goblins, the King relied on Goblin Slayer to handle the situation after both Sword Maiden and Female Merchant revealed he was the foremost expert on "Goblins". He has shown to have a lot of faith in Goblin Slayer's abilities.

Frienemies for Life
He helped Captain defend Sword Maiden from two male adventurers. Diamond Knight and Captain got along well and collaborated with each other in conquering the Dungeon of the Dead. Hilariously, he was unaware that Captained held a strong one-sided rivalry with him.
