Goblin Slayer Wiki

Trade Nun, is a high-ranking priestess of the Temple of the Trade God; previously stationed outside the Dungeon of the Dead. However, when the situation calls for it, she goes out as "The Informant" and gives assistance from the Trade God to Adventurers.

Appearance[]

Trade Nun has long silver hair and wears nun attire. Many consider her to be very beautiful, however she appears to be embarrassed about it as she gets angry when people stare at her.

As "The Informant", a mysterious informant for Adventurers, Trade Nun disguises herself in a white hooded cloak.

Personality[]

During the days of the Dungeon of the Dead, Trade Nun knew her specialty Miracles were in very high demand and took advantage of that to coerce "donations" from the Adventurers. While it seemed cruel, she was justified in that Miracles are limited and taxing on the casters and many of the Adventurers simply expected the charity. Her implementation of the "Donation" system ensured funding for supplies and emergency aid, showing Trade Nun is a tough but kind woman alongside an opportunist.

Despite her rather miserly attitude, Trade Nun does have a softer side she likes to hide from others and rarely shows. She would take the disguise of "The Informant" and try to give advice and warnings about danger to certain Adventurers she wanted to help. On one hand she was doing it because she was being given handouts from the Trade God to aid Adventurers and also because she wanted to help Adventurers she knew were good people.

Chronology[]

Background[]

Trade Nun took up residence in the Temple in the Fortress City; here, she helped many Adventurers heal and gave blessings for their delves against the Dungeon of the Dead. However, as more and more Adventurers came to the Temple expecting her and her fellow priests and priestess to give charity, Trade Nun implemented a more strict "donation" system. This way, the Temple could prosper and get much needed items to help everyone and allow her to cut down on the rougher "customers".

Eventually, she befriended fellow Priestess Female Bishop and would try to keep her on her feet after the original Party abandoned her.

Trade Nun began ushering out some ruffian Adventurers as Captain and his fledgling Party came to the Temple of the Trade God in hopes of recruiting more Party members. Seeing as he and his Party was new to the City, Trade Nun welcomed them but let his Party know the "rules" of her Temple in a very blunt way. However, when Female Bishop gave her a small donation, Trade Nun calmed down and admitted she was happy to see Female Bishop make new friends and asked them to treat her well.

After pleasantries, she gave Half-Elf Scout permission to scout for more Party members, including looking through the Adventures under status from her Preservation Miracle. However, Female Warrior returned from her latest Delve and engaged in a test of strength to show her worth which earned her Trade Nun's wrath for drawing her weapon in a Temple and let her off with a stern warning.

Later on, Captain comes to her with a very wounded decimated Party they helped rescue for healing. Trade Nun agreed to give them help as the wounded were "very generous" with donations in the past and leads them to assistance. As she overhears Captain agreeing to give whatever reward to a Party of young girl Adventurers who saved the wounded and got help earlier, Trade Nun approves of their altruism and prays for their survival.

The next day, Trade Nun took on her "Informant" disguise and decided to pay Captain a visit as he was "helping" Female Warrior buy new armor. As the "Informant", she divulged information about "Newbie Hunters", Scruffy Men who were hiding out in the Dungeon to hunt down and kill newbie Adventurers for their equipment. She then reveals the rumor that said group of hunters had a hideout on the second floor of the Dungeon before disappearing into the shadows, hoping that Captain would heed the call. She was not disappointed.

Daikatana Volume 2[]

After succeeding in taking out a Party of Newbie Hunters, Trade Nun congratulates Captain in her "Informant" disguise. While talking with her and giving more of her cryptic advice and clues out, Knight of Diamonds joins the discussion with Silver-Haired Thief. Just as quickly as she appeared, "Informant" disappears without a trace.

After Captain was injured by Shinobi in the Dungeon, his Party brings him to Trade Nun in hopes he can be saved. Trade Nun performs Resurrection on Captain to save his life, mentioning he had been "keeping up with his donations". The next morning, however, given his lack of clothing, Trade Nun gets annoyed and reminds Captain if keeps staring, she'll have to charge an additional "viewing fee" for her embarrassment.

Daikatana Volume 3[]

Goblin Slayer Volume 16[]

Trade Nun is called upon to represent the Trade God during a gathering of the five most popular religions in the Kingdom. While staying silent for the most part, Supreme God's Paladin's nonstop rants and virtue signaling quickly drew her ire. As he complained about one too many things that affected commerce; she used basic economics to shut him up, much to the satisfaction of everyone attending.

Abilities[]

Miracles[]

  • Resurrection《蘇生 (リザレクション) Rizarekushon》: After sleeping besides a virgin, both the latter and the user get a major recovery from any injuries they have previously received. Trade Nun cast it on Captain when his throat was slashed.
  • Preservation: A Miracle that puts mortally wounded Adventurers into a frozen state for an unknown length of time (possibly unlimited amount of time), giving their comrades a chance to raise the funds to pay for a rather costly Resurrection.

Trivia[]

  • Trade Nun routinely received Hand Outs from the Trade God to give out to the Adventurers trying to defeat the Dungeon of the Dead. So much so, she created another identity of "The Informant" to secretly give these out to choice Adventurers.
