Full Summary[]
At Arc Mage's shack, she tells Goblin Slayer that if an adventurer requested her body as payment, she would have put them under an illusion to give them what they wanted; adding that value is relative, not absolute. Arc Mage reveals that she has been assigned to revise the Adventurer's Guild's Monster Manual, specifically pages about goblins. Wanting to observe and do dissections of goblins and knowing Goblin Slayer was a goblin-slaying specialist, Arc Mage asks him to go retrieve her information, which Goblin Slayer agreed to.
The two eventually reach a tomb, where Goblin Slayer kills a goblin by stabbing its throat; Arc Mage notes the throat being a vital point as much like people and rheas. When Goblin Slayer informs her the goblins will notice the scent of a woman, Arc Mage nonchalantly showers herself in goblin blood before the two enter the tomb. After a brief discussion about goblin behavior, the two are confronted by a pair of wolves. When Goblin Slayer asks her if she has any spells, Arc Mage reminds him that she is the quest-giver; dealing with the wolves was his job. Goblin Slayer knocks away one of the wolves before slashing the other; however, the cut was too shallow, resulting in the wolf tackling Goblin Slayer to the ground.
