Full Summary[]
Young Warrior and the rookies fight the grunt goblins, with Martial Artist going to confront the hobgoblin. The hobgoblin's layers of fat prevent Martial Artist from dealing damage to it, but Young Warrior encourages her to remain composed and keep up her attacks. When Martial Artist delivers a kick, the hobgoblin catches her foot, making her freeze in shock. However, before the hobgoblin could use its club, the padfoot wizard casts Disarm to deprive it of the weapon. With a single kick, Martial Artist crushes the hobgoblin's head, and the rest of the party kill the remaining goblins.
When Young Warrior goes to talk with Martial Artist, the latter admits that adventuring was quite scary and that she thought she would die. Young Warrior agrees, but he adds that it was better to be scared than not. He then tells her that she always had another chance as long as she was alive, and Martial Artist agrees. The dwarf and elf recover what appear to be letters from the hobgoblin, which turn out to be pictographs instead. They speculate that a warlock wrote it and that they were in the warlock's territory. Immediately after, the party is attacked by a blizzard spell, and the padfoot directs their attention to the warlock who cast it.
