Full Summary[]
Before the party can reach the warlock, the latter uses Shadow Self to create several copies of himself. Professor informs the party that the copies are mere decoys which couldn't use magic, and Elf Acolyte kills one by firing a single dart. When goblins rush toward them from behind, Dwarf Scout manages to kill most of them. She collapses after being wounded by a poisoned spear, but is saved by a Cure miracle from Elf Acolyte.
Moving to draw the warlock's fire, Young Warrior directs Martial Artist to find the real warlock. Martial Artist kicks who she thought was the warlock, but he turns out to be another copy; the real warlock slashes her from behind, but only manages to graze her shoulder. The warlock casts another Blizzard spell, prompting Professor to use his remaining Counterspell to impede his magic. Determined not to lose another party, Young Warrior manages to push through the blizzard and stop the blizzard by cutting off the warlock's left hand. With Professor's last spell spent, the party flees outside the cave.
Upon seeing Martial Artist's bandaged wound, Young Warrior apologizes. However, Martial Artist tells him not to, as she did what she had to and that they were a party. Young Warrior confesses that he only meant to go with them for the one quest, but backlash from the rookies convinces him to keep accompanying them. He acknowledges to himself that adventurers were responsible for themselves, but resolves to keep fighting with the rookies for now.
