Full Summary[]
Goblin Slayer notices that neither the tower nor the goblins cast any shadows. Arc Mage explains that the goblins were in fact something called "shades", something that wizards chase after. After Arc Mage elaborates on them being like a hex, Goblin Slayer simply concludes that they can be killed. He dispatches the two goblins keeping guard, allowing the two of them to enter the tower.
Despite the labyrinth-like environment, the undaunted Goblin Slayer treats it as if it were a cave, and makes quick work of the goblins who attempt an ambush. Using the Spark ring, Arc Mage is directed to mist floating in front of a a large door. Arc Mage deduces that the mist was the key to the door which has lost its true shape, and that she had to restore its proper form. Goblin Slayer resolves to leave that job to her as he engages combat with an incoming wave of goblins.
