Full Summary[]
Arc Mage manages to form the next shadow-like object into a shape in the form of eight, while Goblin Slayer continues to hold off the endless goblin horde. The numerical result of the puzzle as well as the number of goblins killed increased as Goblin Slayer and Arc Mage continue to repeat this process through the next few floors.
During a brief intermission, Arc Mage assures Goblin Slayer that these goblins cannot leave the tower and will only exist as long as the tower does, in other words when she finally arrives at her destination. When Goblin Slayer reacts with indifference to her goals, he explains that his teacher told him everything came down to whether one decided to act or not; as he didn't act when his sister met her demise, he would not judge someone else for doing otherwise. In response, Arc Mage tells Goblin Slayer that she made the right choice choosing him for the quest.
In the next room, the Goblin Slayer counts the number of goblins killed over one-hundred twenty, but the sheer number of opponents begins to fatigue him. To Arc Mage's bewilderment, the number of the puzzle numbered a total of six hundred, and she begins panicking over whether she would have enough time to solve it.
