Full Summary[]
Goblin Slayer exits the guild office and is greeted by Young Warrior, who had been filled in on Goblin Slayer's situation by Inspector. He notes Young Warrior's attempt to make small talk, and also notices that he too has been promoted above Porcelain. He briefly ponders on how to proceed with the conversation, before deciding to ask how Young Warrior was. As the latter tells him about his study of literacy and arithmetic, Goblin Slayer reminisces on how fortunate he was to have his sister teach him how to read and write, and how he must not let the goblins stumble upon this knowledge. After Young Warrior brings up his recent battle with a necromancer, the two adventurers note the increasing presence of rookie adventurers; Young Warrior suggests Goblin Slayer to give up goblin hunting as newbie work, before heading to meet with his party. As Goblin Slayer thinks about how to act while waiting for the receptionist, he figures that any adventurer who gets promoted wouldn't have to worry about such situations.
The receptionist then comes out with Guild Girl. Goblin Slayer asks which someone would be accompanying him, and Guild Girl informs him the receptionist would in order to evaluate his performance. The receptionist adds that she will not be telling him what to do during the quest. Goblin Slayer remains uncertain over what he should be doing, but after noting that both Cow Girl and Guild Girl want this for him, he resolves to do what he always did. He and the receptionist set off, and Guild Girl wishes them a happy hunting.
