Full Summary[]
Goblin Slayer meets up with Cow Girl at the farm, and tells her that he is undergoing a promotion exam. Cow Girl flusters answering the receptionist evaluating Goblin Slayer, but soon finds comfort in the latter's comments regarding her as his family. She humbly requests the receptionist to give him a fair shot at his evaluation, which the receptionist assures.
Traversing through a plain, Goblin Slayer deduces the goblins to be wanderers, which he labels as not much of a threat. The receptionist sharply corrects him, explaining that while the guild does not view them to be a significant menace, they still consider all monsters as threats, some more deserving than others. Goblin Slayer changes his answer when she brings up villagers who aren't able to defend themselves; he states that they are threats, but not great ones. When asked why, he privately muses that she comes off as a teacher, much like his master and sister. He then reveals the presence of footprints, and judges from their appearance to be from a starving goblin. As he answers more of her questions, Goblin Slayer is irritated by how readily his responses are. He then notices that the receptionist has made no noise with her footsteps, even at the Adventurer's Guild, and figures something is strange about her gait. Goblin Slayer brushes these thoughts off to focus on slaying goblins, and he soon manages to find a group of goblins sleeping under a rock.
