After taking down some goblins, Goblin Slayer gets his first lesson on what it means to be in a party.
Full Summary[]
Goblin Slayer successfully ambushes the group of sleeping goblins, but the last one moves past Goblin Slayer in an attempt to target the receptionist. However, the latter promptly draws out a chain whip, wrapping it around the goblin's leg before delivering a punch with enough force to make his head rupture. Goblin Slayer then realizes he is not used to protecting someone else during fighting.
The receptionist states that Goblin Slayer had forgotten they were supposed to be a party, as he had not given her any instructions. When Goblin Slayer asks what he should do next time, to which the receptionist suggests that he ask for her opinion to look at things from another perspective; should she not have one, he should come up with a different one himself or find party members that will, even if he thinks there is no other way. She adds that is how leaders make decisions, and if he is theirs, that is his duty. Goblin Slayer doesn't completely understand, but recognizes the notion that he is capable of everything is one of arrogance. He asks for the receptionist's opinion on some footprints he uncovered, which she identifies as a warg's. Goblin Slayer deduces that the wanderers were incapable of keeping any, and the footprints appear to be leaving the area. The receptionist requests their next course of action, and Goblin Slayer simply replies that they hunt down and kill the wargs.

- A goblin manages to slip past Goblin Slayer to attack the receptionist, but the latter uses a chain weapon to restrain and kill the goblin with a single punch.
